This was the 2nd of numerous Billy the Kid Pageant
t-shirt designs I did from the 70s-90s…we called it
“Little Billy” because the previous year’s shirt focused
on a larger head, called “Big Billy”
My buddy Matt gave me the original skull
which served as the model in this
and other drawings.
We visited with our son (interning at
Earthships outside of Taos) and shopped
and sketched while Ann got a foot massage.
This sketch spanned 3 pages and
when I pieced it together in GIMP,
the joints don’t look that great I must
admit…but I still like the vista,
